National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn has called on deputies and staff to strengthen innovation, dedication, and responsibility as Vietnam works toward building a more modern and effective legislature. Speaking at the first Patriotic Emulation Congress of the NA Standing Committee for the 2025–2030 period, he emphasized the importance of improving legislative quality, oversight, and decision-making on national issues.
Delegates reviewed achievements from recent patriotic emulation movements and discussed tasks for the next five years, highlighting the need to identify and promote exemplary role models who inspire creativity and responsibility. Mẫn reiterated the long-standing message of national unity and service, drawing from President Hồ Chí Minh’s call for patriotic emulation issued 77 years ago.
Launching the emulation campaign for 2025–2030, he urged strong efforts to advance legal reforms, strengthen digital transformation within the NA, and build a fully integrated “Digital National Assembly.” He also stressed the need to prepare for the upcoming 10th session of the 15th NA, the 2026 elections, and major national commemorations.
Mẫn encouraged deputies and officials to embody courage, accountability, and public service, placing national interests first. He emphasized that recruitment and appointment processes must be reformed to attract exceptional talent and that emulation outcomes should be used as key criteria for evaluation and recognition.
Awards were presented to outstanding individuals for their contributions, and 12 delegates were selected to attend the upcoming National Patriotic Emulation Congress.
