Vietnam is joining forces with other Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies to bolster the capabilities of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in embracing digital transformation and harnessing artificial intelligence (AI). This collective effort aims to boost productivity and enhance competitiveness across the region. At a recent APEC workshop held in Hanoi, Vietnamese officials underscored the critical role of technology transfer, digital skills enhancement, and innovation in supporting these enterprises.
The workshop drew participants from various APEC economies, international organizations, and prominent technology firms. The agenda focused on pivotal topics such as AI adoption, the development of digital infrastructure, financial access, and narrowing the digital divide. These discussions are part of a broader initiative to empower MSMEs with cutting-edge technologies and facilitate their integration into the digital economy.
In addition to addressing immediate digital challenges, the workshop is an integral part of Vietnam’s preparations for hosting APEC in 2027.
