Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has commended the robust collaboration between Vietnam and Laos in the areas of inspection, auditing, and anti-corruption. During a recent meeting in Hanoi with senior Lao official Vanhxay Phongsavanh, both leaders underscored the importance of these efforts as their nations work towards new developmental objectives.

The discussions highlighted the necessity of enhancing national governance and maintaining strict discipline. Hưng stressed the importance of increasing transparency and intensifying the fight against corruption, wastefulness, and other detrimental activities. He advocated for more frequent exchanges of expertise, as well as personnel training to better handle complaints and improve institutional frameworks.

Both Vietnam and Laos acknowledged the critical role of coordination in identifying and addressing cases that involve cross-border elements. They also explored ways to enhance the use of information technology and digital transformation in their inspection and auditing procedures.
