The 14th Party Central Committee of Vietnam has commenced its third meeting in Hà Nội, spearheaded by Party General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm. This significant five-day session is dedicated to advancing the resolutions passed at the 14th National Party Congress. The agenda includes enhancing Party governance, reforming the political system, and expediting national development.
Committee members are set to examine 13 pivotal policy areas during the meeting. These include strategies for improving State governance, reforming land laws, restructuring the economy, promoting technology-driven growth, protecting the environment, and ensuring national security. The discussions will also evaluate the effectiveness of the newly implemented political system, assess the two-tier local administration model, and consider proposals for elevating Quảng Ninh and Bắc Ninh to centrally governed city status.
At the opening of the session, Tô Lâm urged the committee to focus on practical and action-oriented decisions aimed at removing obstacles to development, unlocking national resources, and enhancing public services. He stressed the importance of translating resolutions into concrete implementation plans, complete with clear responsibilities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
