Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has concluded a significant three-day official visit to Russia, returning to Hanoi after a journey focused on bolstering bilateral cooperation. The trip, which coincided with the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit celebrating 35 years of diplomatic relations, highlighted the ongoing collaboration between ASEAN and Russia.
During his time in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng participated in pivotal summit sessions and business forums. He also engaged in discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other regional leaders. These meetings centered on enhancing cooperation across several vital sectors, including investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development.
A key aspect of the visit was the Vietnamese delegation’s interactions with prominent Russian organizations and businesses. This engagement led to the signing of several cooperation agreements, underscoring the commitment to strengthening ties. Additionally, the launch of new direct flight routes between Vietnam and Russia was announced, marking a step forward in improving connectivity between the two nations.
The visit further cemented Vietnam’s dedication to enhancing the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Russia. Both countries agreed on various measures aimed at deepening cooperation, with a focus on achieving more substantial outcomes in key sectors. These initiatives are expected to support long-term economic growth and foster bilateral development.
