Vietnamese leader Tô Lâm’s upcoming state visit to Singapore from May 29 to 31 marks a significant moment in their evolving partnership. Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyễn Mạnh Cường emphasized that the relationship has progressed beyond traditional economic ties. The elevation to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2025 underscores the deepening political trust and aligned strategic interests shared by the two countries.
Singapore stands as a pivotal economic partner for Việt Nam, ranking as its second-largest foreign investor with a diverse portfolio of projects across various sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, finance, real estate, and high technology. A key representation of this cooperation is the Việt Nam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) network, which is now shifting towards greener and smarter industrial models that align with sustainable development goals.
